The Election Of Grace

As I look around in this day of antichrist religion, free will works religion, man centered, man dependant, man glorifying religion I cannot help but see the hand of Gods’ judgment and wrath upon this world.  Is there nothing we can do or say to prevent the sure end to their folly?  Has God given them up to eat the fruit of their own way?  (Proverbs 1: 22-31)  Has God given them over to themselves, as those in Romans 1, or has he sent them strong delusion to believe a lie and be damned?  (11 Thessalonians 2:11)  Is there no hope for our own children and grandchildren?  Is the day of mercy gone forever? Do not despair.  As it was in the days of Elijah….“even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.” (Romans 11:5)  Gods eternal election is what sets the sinner aside for all the heavenly blessings.  It is what arranges providence and circumstances for his good.  It is what brings the means of his salvation to pass in his direction.  It is what brought the Son of God into this world and the reason for his present reign.  It is no less than the elect of God for which this doomed world is being preserved. (Matthew 24: 22; 2 Peter 3: 7-9)  So long as the sun rises and sets there is an open door of mercy even in our day.  Let us then put our hands to the plan and work while it is day.  Let us work with the full assurance that all Gods elect will be called, regenerated, converted, and preserved.

About Greg Coleman

I am a Particular Baptist who affirms the absolute sovereignty of the triune Godhead in all things. The fullness of the Godhead dwells in the God-man Jesus Christ. He is the Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer, Disposer and Judge of all that ever was, is now or ever shall be. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and men. He was made to be sin for his people and saved them from their sins by his substitutionary, sacrificial death on the cross thereby satisfying the justice and wrath of God against them. The sufficiency of his death to the satisfaction of God’s justice is proven by his physical resurrection from the dead and enthronement in glory at the right hand of the Father. Jesus Christ is coming again to judge the living and the dead. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
