Hear The Gospel

Hear the Gospel, only mind that what you hear is the Gospel. You can hear some very smart sermons and very clever sermons and, as a rule, I may say that the cleverer they are, the worse they are! Where you see so much of the man, you will see very little of His Master.

Charles H. Spurgeon   (1834 – 1892)

About Greg Coleman

I am a Particular Baptist who affirms the absolute sovereignty of the triune Godhead in all things. The fullness of the Godhead dwells in the God-man Jesus Christ. He is the Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer, Disposer and Judge of all that ever was, is now or ever shall be. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and men. He was made to be sin for his people and saved them from their sins by his substitutionary, sacrificial death on the cross thereby satisfying the justice and wrath of God against them. The sufficiency of his death to the satisfaction of God’s justice is proven by his physical resurrection from the dead and enthronement in glory at the right hand of the Father. Jesus Christ is coming again to judge the living and the dead. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

You already know what I’m going to say, don’t you? 😉 AMEN! So many attractive, wonderful messages being preached..moving! But they have that slight bend in the truth..just that little word maybe, or phrase, that nobody notices… Lucifer knows the Bible as well as God, and has studied deception for thousands and thousands of years. He is the master. Howbeit when we who know the truth and recognize the deceiver try to tell people, and they reject us because the lie sounded better and easier than the harder way..the truth; to pick up our cross and carry it! To take those things we want to do that are not of God and sacrifice them for God. The good news is that, just like the man who helped Jesus carry the cross on the way to calvary, Jesus comes and helps us carry ours…if we let Him. We can restrict the flow of the Holy Spirit in our lives, or we can unleash it. You have to pick up the cross first and begin to carry it…just like Jesus..and you might have to carry it for a little while..it hurts. But do not fear; Jesus will send you another Comforter to help you so that you don’t have to do it all alone; His Holy Spirit. Is there anyone, yes, even one, willing to suffer for our Lord, whose suffering is unfathomable when compared to ours? The truth is, it’s not easy. The lie is, you don’t have to do it exactly like the Bible tells you to..there are other ways; easier ways. There’s not. It’s exactly as His word tells us; there are no exceptions. Why would anyone want to go any other route, than the route our Savior mapped out for us? The perfect route. It’s time for America to get off of the highway to hell, and fly the friendly skies instead beneath His mighty wings!
