You couldn’t have said it better. This is sad, but when I am speaking truth, I get more love and kindness from the world than I do my own brethren. My own brethren attack me, ridicule me, accuse me of judgment and hatred when I speak the truth of God’s word with kindness. They become defensive, argumentatitve, and proud. This ought not to be.
How someone responds to God’s truth says a lot about their maturity in Christ, and their knowledge of God’s Word. A wise man will love you when you correct him…A fool will hate you. Those in between will respond in a variety of ways as mentioned above.
