It is high time that some voice was raised in protest against the fearful perversions of Divine truth which are now being given out by many, who, though posing as the champions of orthodoxy, are nothing more than wolves in sheep’s clothing, blind, leading those who follow their pernicious heresies into the ditch. The omnipotency of God is now frittered down to a persuasive power which He brings to bear upon sinners, but which is so feeble that it fails to move the great majority who are subject to it: more than this “persuasion” must not be affirmed, lest man be reduced to a “mere machine.” The all-efficacious Atonement, which has actually redeemed everyone for whom it was made, is degraded to a “remedy” which sin-sick souls may use if they feel disposed to. The invincible work of the Holy Spirit is supposed to be nothing more than an “offer” of the Gospel which sinners may accept or reject as they please. That such frightful errors should now be accepted in “churches” calling themselves “Fundamentalists,” only shows how far the Apostasy has advanced.
The horrible and blasphemous idea of Arminians is that the wondrous and perfect Atonement of Christ has made sure and certain the salvation of none, that it has only made possible the salvation of all who hear the Gospel. When this “possibility” is carefully examined it is found to be an impossibility! The supposed “possibility” is that fallen man, while dead in trespasses and sins, must fulfill a certain condition, must of himself perform a certain act which God is said to require of him, before the sacrifice of Christ can be of any avail. That “condition” is faith; that “act” is that he must believe. Now to reduce the “great salvation” which Christ procured and secured to a bare possibility, as something which is available for everyone but sure for no one, is to say that Christ did no more for Peter and Paul than He did for Pilate and Judas. Everything is thus left to chance and uncertainty.

Amen! Amen! And AMEN! Can’t tell you how many I’ve come across here just in one week…so AMEN again!
Lyn,
Thank you for taking time to comment. The truth, God’s truth, is timeless. I seem to be dealing with the perversion of it every direction that I turn these days. And I know that my brothers and sisters in Christ are too.
Solus Christus!
Yes, if I may say, I recently went to a blog where a “Christian” was teaching that homosexuality is not a sin, and that Jesus never says anything about it. I said, “Oh yes, Jesus was jewish, and Moses condemned it. Also, Jesus does mention the creation, how God made one woman for one man. I won’t argue with people the Bible, but when I see someone leading people astray by perverting the Bible, and preaching false doctrine, I become righteously angry. This woman was committing a worse sin than homosexuality..preaching false doctrine! Then, yesterday, I came across another “Christian” who was teaching that God lives in ALL of us..the whole new age concept of the Opray Winfrey “I Am” that we are God, so to speak. Had some fun with that one too. It deeply greives me. God bless you for being upright and pure in heart, and for preaching truth my brother. God bless you so much!
Also, many are preaching not offending others by being wishy washy lukewarm Christians. If Jesus offends, just be nice and don’t say His name. Just be their friend. The Bible tells us the friendship with the world is to be an enemy of Christ. We are to speak truth, and we will be persecuted..whether it means verbally, or physically, we will offend. The Bible and Jesus is an offense to the world. I say, too bad. I live to please my Savior..He is the one I will have to stand before…not man.
Just came across another perversion of the truth in relation to homosexuality….again. Oh, how it will only get worse in these days….worse and worse…God’s judgment is coming very soon upon all that reject Jesus and pervert His precious truth. Amen.
Pink is great! He had a Church not too far from me here in Colorado; Silverton, Colorado. Unfortunately, however, I think brother Pink would roll over in his grave if he could see what that Church has recently turned into…another perversion of the truth!
Cody,
Good to hear from your brother. I trust that you and your family had a good week and are well.
I’m praying that you will preach with much freedom and in the power of the Spirit this Sunday.
God bless.
